A few months ago, I mentioned that I am working on a couple of dream projects. I also said you’ll definitely hear more about these when the time is right. Well half the time is almost right!
A sample of one of these projects is arriving tomorrow. We get samples of all of our products, but as much as I might get a kick out of seeing a sample of something like our LFG scarf (still available and super warm, get yours before winter gets you!), I’m especially eager this time. When I was assigned product development, this was one of my first pitches that was approved for research. I did not want to move on with its development until a specific design company was available to work with us. When they finally got back to me earlier this year to say there was an opening in their schedule, things quickly fell into place. If we remain on schedule, we should have these items in the store in early 2017.
So what is this dream project? We’re not quite ready to say that. Although all interaction has been extremely positive with all of the companies I’ve worked with on this project, the samples we receive tomorrow will be the ultimate test. They would have to be especially problematic to derail this project, but you never know what details might be off or how long it will take to fix some issues. However, we are confident enough right now that we’re willing to put the ball in your court.
