Some Web-like Changes

We’ve made a few changes to the site over the last couple of weeks, and rather just wait until you haphazardly come across them, I thought I’d point out a couple I wanted to highlight.

Comments

The rumors are true. On every LFG and NPC page, starting from the very beginning, you can now comment.

I thought it’d be a fun way for you guys to engage in debate over the comic. As long as it’s not abused, we’ll leave it up.

Just a note regarding commenting on this in general, they are NOT moderated or approved. The only time they are, is when the user (you) has not validated his e-mail address with Disqus.

We’ve been doing it that way for a while, and tends to keep them spammers at bay.

Project Wonderful Ad

Under the house ad to your right, you may have noticed a new ad box titled ‘Curated Ads’.

It is a project wonderful ad placement, and can be bid on by anyone by following this link.

I call it curated because each and every ad will be vetted by someone here at Blind Ferret, and then by me, before being approved. I’m being very strict with what I allow in there, as I want it to be a place for webcomics looking to expand their audience, and not for a large company trying to score some cheap ads.

Off the bat, I will reject the following ads:

• Any Video Game, no matter the company.
•  Any T-shirt or apparel business
• Any crowdfunding campaign
•  Any Amazon affiliate thing

In addition, I’ll reject any ugly looking ads. If it’s not appealing, I won’t let it run on the site.

That’s it. Anything else is a go.
