Who wants some original art?
For the past two years my wife has participated in the Multiple Sclerosis 10km Walk for the Cure. And in that same time I have done my best to help her by appealing to you to donate by offering incentives ranging from art to auctions to the very popular self abuse via cosplay! It’s 2014 and time to do it again!
Please go to here and donate to help us reach/surpass our goal of $10000 and help spread the word even if you can’t spare the dollars.
Taking inspiration from crowd sourcing, this year we’ve come up with some new incentives. As before, I will dye my beard and hair if we reach the $5000 with additional colours being added at each $1000 level. I am game to take it farther, say a mohawk for SDCC or something.
In addition, when we hit $2500 I will ‘unlock’ special donor art. Zap me an email with your pledge confirmation (of any amount) and I will send you a printable PDF of ‘Bilbo & the 13 Dwarves’.
Now here’s the really special stuff:
Donations of $100+. Send me your pledge confirmation and I will do an original ink drawing of a single character of your choice for you (no O.C.s or caricatures please). I’m currently limiting this to ten (subject to change).
Donations of $250+. Send me your pledge confirmation and I will do an original gouache watercolour of single character of your choice for you (no O.C.s or caricatures please). This is also currently limited to ten (also subject to change).
A donation of $1000+ will fetch you the painting of Richard with the Fork of Truth (12×16″, acrylics on black velvet). This is one of a kind. I could be persuaded to do another if someone else is willing to donate that much.
I will cover all shipping costs to anywhere in the world.
If you want Sailor Bacon to return for convention season, you’ll have to blow our goal away and get us to $12000. I will of course, upgrade the costume for a ‘season two’ Sailor Bacon! I’m thinking boots and maybe a wand.
