Well, Hello There

It’s been a little bit since I’ve popped up on this page, I admit, but I promise you, the reasons were solid and as you’ll come to see, worthwhile.

For the last 5 years, behind the webcomic scenes, I’ve been working my arse off to build a little corner of Blind Ferret into something else, something I’ve long sought after, and that is an animation studio.

My dream has always been to run a studio, to showrun full seasons of animated content. However, before we could run, we had to crawl.

In this sense, crawling meant building up a large enough portfolio of projects that broadcasters and streamers took us seriously. And for the last 5 years, we’ve done exactly that. We’ve done commercials, demos, pitches, sizzle reels, pick up work for other studios; basically anything we could get our hands on to show what we can do.

And every second of animation we produced, was done right here in Montreal.

The studio has grown, to a size that surprises me daily. So much so, that late last year we began to operate the studio under a new name “Laughing Dragon Studios”. It was time for the company to step out of Blind Ferret’s shadow and build its own identity.

Aside from Laughing Dragon being 95% of my workload, you’re asking, well, what the shite does any of this have to do with LFG?

Well, a lot actually.

And over the next few months, I’m going to share with you what we’ve been working on in the LFG-verse, and well, we’ve been busy.

For today though, I’ll share a little something we did (and go easy on me, I’m not a voice actor) to introduce the next step in getting LFG to series-
