Sohmer, Son of Sohmer
I’m not sure how exactly it happened, but we somehow managed to make it through another convention season. With no travel on my schedule for at least 4 months, I can keep my head down and maybe remind my kids what I look like.
One of the advantages though, to travelling as much as I do, is that I get to watch a shite ton of TV and movies while on a plane or in a hotel room.
And one such show recently caught my eye, and I felt the need to share it with you.
The Last Kingdom, airing on BBC America and BBC Two is an adaptation of Bernard Cormwell’s ‘The Saxon Stories’ series of novels. While it takes heavy licenses with characters and timelines, it is based on historical events as the Danes attempted to take over England, with only the Kingdom of Wessex left to stand in their way.
The acting, the pacing and the humour of this show make it one of only two current shows that I watch live when possible.
Give it a go, you won’t regret the investment,
-Because I Can.
